Since 1995 I have worked in portfolio investment in Edinburgh and London, securing annual rental yields on average of 5-10% and 35% returns on capital invested.

I hold a BSc(Hons) in Real Estate Valuation and Management and successfully qualified to become a member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors.

As well as acquisition and management of buy to let properties I have personally project managed a number of large builds including converting 3000 sq.ft of office space to 2 residential dwellings plus purchasing 14 acres of land, part-demolishing existing ruin and then co-ordinating and securing necessary planning permissions to build a 7000sq.ft 6-bedroom home.  This involved designing the balanced and spacious layout for this new build, sourcing technical advice, tendering the project to 3 builders, negotiating fee structure and then project managing entire build to include surrounding gardens and landscaping.
